Article I Membership
1.Eligibility: there shall be one type of membership, open to all persons sixteen years of age and older, who own a working sheep dog or dogs and / or who subscribe to the purposes of the Club. Membership is to be unrestricted as to residence.
2.Dues: Membership shall be fifteen ($25.00) dollars per individual or per household per year, payable on or before the end of the calendar year. No member may vote whose dues are not paid for the current year. During the month of November, the membership chair shall send each member a statement of his or her dues.
3.Applications for membership: Each applicant for membership shall apply on a form as approved by the Board of Directors. The applicant will agree to abide by the constitution and by-laws, safety rules, and trial rules of this club. The application shall state the name, address, and occupation of the applicant. Accompanying the application the prospective member shall submit dues payment for the current year.
4.Termination of membership: A membership will be considered lapsed and automatically terminated if such member's dues remain unpaid sixty (60) days after the first day of the calendar year.
Article II Meetings
1.Annual Meeting: The Club shall have at least one annual meeting to be held before the end of the calendar year. New officers shall be announced at this meeting.
2.Board Meetings: The Board of Directors shall meet quarterly per calendar year. The Board will determine the place and time of such meetings. The president will remind Board members at least ten (10) days prior to the Date of the meeting. The quorum for such a meeting shall be a majority of the Board.
3.Special Board Meetings: Special meetings of the Board may be called by the President and shall be called by the Secretary upon receipt of a written request signed by at least three (3) Board members. The Secretary will notify the board at least ten (10) days before the meeting. The written request will state the purpose of such a meeting and no other business will be conducted at the meeting. A quorum for such a meeting shall be a majority of the Board.
4.Order of Business: At meetings of the Club, the order of business, so far as the character and nature of the meeting may permit, shall be in accordance with accepted parliamentary procedure and shall be as follows:
